Aaron Ramsey has posted an emotional farewell letter to Arsenal fans after agreeing a pre-contract with Juventus.
Ramsey, 28, has signed a pre-contract with Juventus worth £200,000-a-week AFTER TAX which makes him one of British top earners but is dwarfed by his Wales team mate Gareth Bale at Real Madrid.
Bale earns a staggering £650,000-a-week or £350,000-a-week after tax at the Bernabeu. Italian media reported last month that Ramsey agreed the contract with Juventus after completing a medical and will join in the summer.
"As you may have already heard, I have agreed a pre-contract with Juventus Football Club," Ramsey wrote in an Instagram post.
"I wanted to issue a personal statement for all the Arsenal fans wh have been extremely loyal and supportive.
"You welcomed me as a teenager and have been there for me through all the highs and lows I've encountered during my time at the club.
"It is with a heavy heart that I leave after 11 incredible years in North London. Thank you.
"I will continue to give the team 100% and hope to finish the season strongly, before heading on to my next chapter in Turin."
Arsenal confirmed the transfer in a club statement.
It said: "Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Aaron Ramsey a happy and successful future.
"We look forward to Aaron helping the team to a strong end to this season before he joins Juventus in the summer."
Juve added: "Juventus Football Club announces that Aaron Ramey will officially be a Juventus player from 1 July 2019.
"The Welshman will make the move from Arsenal in the summer, having signed a four-year contract with the Italian champions, tying him to the club until 2023."
