It was not a wonderful outing for Hazard due to the sub-par performances from some of his teammates as Willian, N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley were all ineffective in attack. But Hazard lost his cool in the second half after a misunderstanding with Alonso.
At the start of one Chelsea attack, Alonso urged Hazard to push forward but the Belgian did not speed up and so the Spanish defender was forced to cut the ball back. But the pass invited pressure and Hazard was forced to turn back towards Chelsea’s goal before he was fouled by Sanchez.
Hazard looked less than happy with Alonso’s decision to dribble straight past him before releasing the ball and after he was fouled the Belgian turned towards his Chelsea teammate and threw up his arms in anger. The incident, which occurred in the second half as Sarri’s side pushed for an equaliser, did not escape the attention of Chelsea supporters, with many fans claiming that Hazard is growing increasingly annoyed with playing alongside Alonso.
