The dazzling French youngster has heaped praise on his former coach, Unai Emery and Arsene Wenger and revealed how he almost joined Arsenal.
Wonderkid Kylian Mbappe was signed by Emery at Paris Saint-German last year after his stunning form for Monaco.
But Arsene Wenger came close to bringing the teenage prodigy to the Premier League with a move to the Emirates. The youngster has revealed how he eventually opted to take a "different direction" after interest from the Gunners.
"He is a real French football monument who has left Arsenal," Mbappe told FranceFootball. "I have not seen many people in this world being viewed in such a unanimous way.
"When the entirety of Europe gets on its knees in front of him to celebrate him, that certainly means something.
"A little while ago, before I signed for PSG, we were in contact in 2017. I chose a different direction but he wasn’t annoyed at me.
"He was a gentleman about it and wished me good luck."
